Hergen Iggelheimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Bendel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Michael Bendel came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Oferdingen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Bendel couldn't finish the play. Michael Bendel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Hergen Iggelheimer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivica Ladwig in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilhelm Gräber saved Oferdingen from getting behind. With a little luck, Piast's Hergen Iggelheimer got control of the ball when Willi Deckers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Willi Deckers took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hergen Iggelheimer. Hergen Iggelheimer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Oferdingen's Willi Deckers got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lars Neitzel in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilhelm Gräber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piast's goalkeeper Hergen Iggelheimer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hergen Iggelheimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Bendel in the 40th minute of play. Oferdingen's Arno Kuhlins shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Hergen Iggelheimer but with some difficulty. Willi Deckers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hergen Iggelheimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Oferdingen's Michael Bendel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hergen Iggelheimer narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Michael Bendel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oferdingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Bendel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hergen Iggelheimer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Piast booed when Oferdingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arno Kuhlins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Eduard Sikirski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilhelm Gräber showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 62ndth minute of the game Willi Deckers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piast's Hergen Iggelheimer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hergen Iggelheimer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Bendel, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Hergen Iggelheimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Bendel in the 66th minute of play. When Willi Deckers came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Oferdingen fans jumped to their feet. The Oferdingen fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Oferdingen's Willi Deckers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Theo Binninger hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute of the match Andreas Walhöfer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hergen Iggelheimer skillfully saved the ball. In the 79th match minute, Piast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Binninger to maneuver through the defense. Michael Bendel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hergen Iggelheimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theo Binninger during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Piast's Hergen Iggelheimer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willi Deckers in the 87th minute of play. When Theo Binninger was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. In the 93rd match minute, Piast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Binninger to maneuver through the defense. Oferdingen's Andreas Walhöfer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Piast. Oferdingen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
