SV Gengenbach's Alf Harder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Degner in the 3rd minute of play. Philo Bodewig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Harder having to interfere. Philo Bodewig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Degner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Philo Bodewig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Harder having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Philo Bodewig made a precise shot to the right of Alf Harder. SV Gengenbach's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Emilio Degner scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Harder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Johann Todzi fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Gengenbach's protests and gave Johann Todzi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SV Gengenbach's Johann Todzi got a free kick in the 30th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Emilio Degner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothensee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Degner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alf Harder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Degner in the 46th minute of play. Philo Bodewig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alf Harder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Emilio Degner made the kick off in the second half. Kasimir Fusten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anno Ollert in the 52nd minute of play. Mike Prewo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute of the match, Philo Bodewig got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alf Harder was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 64th minute, Emilio Degner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alf Harder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Degner in the 65th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Rothensee got a freekick which was hit by Jules Staratschek. Philo Bodewig scored 0-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Harder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anno Ollert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anno Ollert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasimir Fusten having to interfere. Emilio Degner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alf Harder having to make a save. Alf Harder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philo Bodewig in the 82nd minute. 87 minutes into the match, SV Gengenbach's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Degner came free, but Alf Harder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes, Hanno Gill mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rothensee and the SV Gengenbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rothensee getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Hanno Gill hit a great ball. Maiko Motzer's late challenge caught a SV Gengenbach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maiko Motzer helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Rothensee got a freekick which was hit by Maiko Motzer. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rothensee walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
