Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alan Koller took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Erwin Baumgärtner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 3 played minutes Piast got a freekick which was hit by Theo Binninger. Alan Koller took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hergen Iggelheimer. Hergen Iggelheimer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hergen Iggelheimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Baumgärtner in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Erwin Baumgärtner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lars Neitzel struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Alois Nebe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piast. Hergen Iggelheimer came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Kirchhellen's Erwin Baumgärtner. But to his dismay, Erwin Baumgärtner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Hergen Iggelheimer came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Kirchhellen's Alan Koller. But to his dismay, Alan Koller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The audience was convinced that Alan Koller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hergen Iggelheimer was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Alois Nebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Neitzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st match minute, Kirchhellen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mayk Dorn to maneuver through the defense. Leo Grohganz hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Hergen Iggelheimer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Klaeden, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Hergen Iggelheimer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Koller's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The audience was convinced that Erwin Baumgärtner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hergen Iggelheimer was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Koller in the 46th minute of play forced Piast's goalkeeper Hergen Iggelheimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lars Neitzel was the one to do the kick off. Zoltan Wend kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Erwin Baumgärtner's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hergen Iggelheimer firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Piast booed when Kirchhellen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Koller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kirchhellen's Erwin Baumgärtner got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Erwin Baumgärtner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erwin Baumgärtner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Hergen Iggelheimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hergen Iggelheimer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erwin Baumgärtner's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Piast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Stöckle to maneuver through the defense. Kirchhellen's Alan Koller was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Hergen Iggelheimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Koller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erwin Baumgärtner struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Hergen Iggelheimer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kirchhellen. Hergen Iggelheimer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Koller's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Alan Koller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kirchhellen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Koller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivica Ladwig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kirchhellen played a much better game than Piast and deserved their victory. The Piast players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
