Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Curt Roemer charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Curt Roemer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Curt Roemer kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Erhard Haye de la received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Wilhelm Gräber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willi Deckers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Harder having to interfere. SV Gengenbach's Alf Harder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Bendel in the 22nd minute of play. Wilhelm Gräber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erhard Haye de la in the 25th minute of play. Erhard Haye de la scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilhelm Gräber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, SV Gengenbach's Alf Harder got control of the ball when Willi Deckers tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Johann Todzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Oferdingen's Andreas Walhöfer tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute Michael Bendel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Harder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SV Gengenbach's Johann Todzi got a free kick in the 37th minute. Willi Deckers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alf Harder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Bendel in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alf Harder saved SV Gengenbach from getting behind. Joseph Wittig charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph Wittig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SV Gengenbach getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Joseph Wittig hit a great ball. Alf Harder acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Andreas Walhöfer. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Michael Bendel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oferdingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Bendel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alf Harder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Alf Harder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Bendel in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Willi Deckers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alf Harder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute, Michael Bendel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Bendel in the 67th minute of play forced SV Gengenbach's goalkeeper Alf Harder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes, Willi Deckers made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. SV Gengenbach's Alf Harder tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75 played minutes Oferdingen got a freekick which was hit by Curt Roemer. Michael Bendel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Willi Deckers managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 92nd minute, Michael Bendel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alf Harder was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 97 minutes into the game, Willi Deckers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Alf Harder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
