Spectators: 5179 (Terracing: 4029, Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 100) JMF's Oliver Schmitz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Kleingladbach's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Schmitz came free, but Lukasz Nowak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of JMF booed when Kleingladbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopold Menzner didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Oliver Schmitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luis Kunze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Helge Ansmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ansbert Lanzinger having to interfere. Ansbert Lanzinger came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Kleingladbach's Helge Ansmann. But to his dismay, Helge Ansmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 22 minutes, Oliver Schmitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JMF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Schmitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Kleingladbach's Holger Bermel got a free kick in the 24th minute. Luis Kunze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukasz Nowak having to interfere. In the 35th minute Adrian Baumgartner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ansbert Lanzinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ansbert Lanzinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Ansmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ansbert Lanzinger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Ansmann in the 42nd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Helge Ansmann made a kick off. When Oskar Tebbe fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JMF's protests and gave Oskar Tebbe a yellow card for diving instead. Oskar Tebbe hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Leopold Menzner missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 57 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ansbert Lanzinger right hand side. Andreas Sachse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lukasz Nowak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute Oliver Schmitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukasz Nowak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Baumgartner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ansbert Lanzinger made a huge save. Helge Ansmann struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ansbert Lanzinger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kleingladbach. After having played for 80 minutes, Andreas Sachse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JMF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Sachse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Diers hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Oliver Schmitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Luis Haupt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JMF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Haupt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
