Raoul Rubeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilhelm Gräber having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raoul Rubeck in the 41st minute of play forced Oferdingen's goalkeeper Wilhelm Gräber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilhelm Gräber came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Islamspor's Theo Jendrossek. But to his dismay, Theo Jendrossek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Bendel in the 69th minute of play forced Islamspor's goalkeeper Otmar Strasbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Raoul Rubeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilhelm Gräber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
