Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leon Schütz started the match with the kick off. Gunther Schamaitis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kasimir Fusten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jules Staratschek scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chris Nettig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chris Nettig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philo Bodewig in the 13th minute. Chris Nettig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Degner in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Leon Schütz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kasimir Fusten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chris Nettig didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Levan Waclawiak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Chris Nettig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Emilio Degner took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Chris Nettig to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Rothensee's Philo Bodewig slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chris Nettig. That made the score 4-1 after 31 minutes of play. In the 35th minute of the match, Philo Bodewig got a very nice opportunity to score, but Chris Nettig was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Chris Nettig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Degner in the 37th minute of the match. TSG Hoffenheim's Chris Nettig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Degner in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Jules Staratschek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. TSG Hoffenheim's Chris Nettig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jules Staratschek in the 45th minute of play. Leon Schütz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Kasimir Fusten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Emilio Degner made the kick off in the second half. Chris Nettig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Degner, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 62nd match minute, Rothensee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levan Waclawiak to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Rothensee's Kasimir Fusten got control of the ball when Leon Schütz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chris Nettig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jules Staratschek in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, TSG Hoffenheim's Gunther Schamaitis got a free kick in the 68th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Knut Kühn put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in TSG Hoffenheim fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Maiko Motzer placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 75th minute, Gunther Schamaitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee showed Levan Waclawiak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Rothensee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levan Waclawiak to maneuver through the defense. Leon Schütz kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Rothensee's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
