Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5617, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thierry Stolz started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrik Vollberg in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wladimir Nikoleit prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 4th minute, one of Vechta FSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vechta FSV. After 6 minutes Vechta FSV's goalkeeper Helmut Gehl managed, with a little bit of luck, save Thierry Stolz's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. 10 minutes into the game, Dominik Klump was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vechta FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TSV 1860 München the free kick. In the 10th minute, Dominik Klump hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Cicero Breidt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helmut Gehl. Vechta FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cicero Breidt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Wim Klenk kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Vechta FSV getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Marcel Reckufer hit a great ball. Thierry Stolz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Helmut Gehl having to make a save. Cicero Breidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wladimir Nikoleit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Murmann in the 33rd minute of the match. When Vechta FSV's Richard Murmann, in the 33rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Vechta FSV. After a defensive mix-up in Vechta FSV's zone, Serge Roßbach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmut Gehl came out of the goal and Serge Roßbach tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 46th minute Alois Glückler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wladimir Nikoleit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Cicero Breidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wim Klenk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Helmut Gehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Thierry Stolz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Vechta FSV's Helmut Gehl. Helmut Gehl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cicero Breidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vechta FSV's Helmut Gehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serge Roßbach in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, TSV 1860 München's goalkeeper Wladimir Nikoleit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Vollberg. 74 minutes into the match, TSV 1860 München's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Murmann came free, but Wladimir Nikoleit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wladimir Nikoleit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Murmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute.
