If Dan Bauschus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Swen Herrndorf in the 21st minute of play forced Fürth in Wald FC's goalkeeper Dennis Michalak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darko Kirste didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stephan Sonneborn went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Fürth in Wald FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Lothar Schnorre hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Kirchhoff's Owen Lewe got a free kick in the 30th minute. Fürth in Wald FC were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Kirchhoff's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Christoph Bär took the corner. 34 minutes into the game, Dan Bauschus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kirchhoff's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fürth in Wald FC the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Kirchhoff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Bauschus to maneuver through the defense. Darko Kirste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoph Bär in the 35th minute of the match. Fürth in Wald FC's Dennis Michalak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Bauschus in the 36th minute of play. Dennis Michalak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Niestroj in the 38th minute of play. Darko Kirste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Povel, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Kirchhoff's Fritz Niestroj got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Povel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Fürth in Wald FC defense, Dan Bauschus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Michalak. The Fürth in Wald FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Michalak should have stopped the shot. Kirchhoff's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Bauschus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Michalak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Kirchhoff's Dennis Michalak threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fritz Niestroj, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dan Bauschus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Dennis Michalak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Victor Meissner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Bauschus struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Dennis Michalak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kirchhoff. After a defensive mix-up in Fürth in Wald FC's zone, Fritz Niestroj stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Michalak came out of the goal and Fritz Niestroj tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dennis Michalak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Bauschus in the 95th minute. Fritz Niestroj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Kirchhoff could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fürth in Wald FC throughout the match.
