Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, one of Meyer Zu Bargholz:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave stahl a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Spike Berssenbrügge, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Meyer Zu Bargholz's Volker Bretzel. 0-1. In the 12th minute Holger Neukirch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volker Bretzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gernot Witty blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Barnick having to make a save. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind stahl's goalkeeper Edgar Barnick, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgar Barnick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helmar Kissling, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Edgar Barnick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gernot Witty in the 27th minute. In the 28th match minute, stahl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moritz Scholze to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Aschenbrenner in the 30th minute of play forced stahl's goalkeeper Edgar Barnick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Barnick came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Meyer Zu Bargholz's Sven Aschenbrenner. But to his dismay, Sven Aschenbrenner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Holger Neukirch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volker Bretzel having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Holger Neukirch made a precise shot to the right of Volker Bretzel. Meyer Zu Bargholz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Holger Neukirch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Volker Bretzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half stahl were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Holger Neukirch made the kick off in the second half. Edgar Barnick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernot Witty in the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, stahl's goal looked a bit too open when Helmar Kissling came free, but Edgar Barnick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Holger Neukirch kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Volker Bretzel. That made the score 1-3 in the 55 minute of play. Edgar Barnick came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Meyer Zu Bargholz's Ari Topka. But to his dismay, Ari Topka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 63 minutes into the match, stahl's goal looked a bit too open when Gernot Witty came free, but Edgar Barnick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmar Kissling charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Helmar Kissling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of stahl booed when Meyer Zu Bargholz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmar Kissling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volker Bretzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moritz Scholze in the 75th minute of play. Helmar Kissling kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Holger Neukirch in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Volker Bretzel saved Meyer Zu Bargholz from getting behind. Sven Aschenbrenner's late challenge caught a stahl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Aschenbrenner helped the player get up and apologised. Gernot Witty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Barnick having to interfere. Holger Neukirch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Volker Bretzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
