In the 3rd minute, Hennes Remus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Meyer Zu Bargholz's goal looked a bit too open when Julius Waddey came free, but Volker Bretzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Wederath FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Gernot Witty came free, but Kevin Schlager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Meyer Zu Bargholz's Volker Bretzel got control of the ball when Maiko Vüllings tried to sneak it across the goal line. Helmar Kissling's late challenge caught a Wederath FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Helmar Kissling helped the player get up and apologised. Gernot Witty scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kevin Schlager, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26thth minute of the game Sven Aschenbrenner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wederath FSV's Kevin Schlager was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gernot Witty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Meyer Zu Bargholz's Volker Bretzel got control of the ball when Michael Beudel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Julius Waddey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Volker Bretzel. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 36th minute, Wederath FSV's Julius Waddey ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Volker Bretzel. Volker Bretzel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 39th minute, Helmar Kissling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wederath FSV's Maiko Vüllings shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Volker Bretzel but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Wederath FSV's Erwin Kortüm got a free kick in the 45th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Sven Aschenbrenner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meyer Zu Bargholz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Aschenbrenner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Kevin Schlager was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Helmar Kissling showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 54 minute of play. After 63 played minutes Wederath FSV got a freekick which was hit by Jim Conradi. 65 minutes into the match, Meyer Zu Bargholz's Gernot Witty sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Schlager narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uwe Epp during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute, Uwe Epp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hennes Remus, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gernot Witty got free with Kevin Schlager in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Färber might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Volker Bretzel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Färber ran back to his position shaking his head. If Michael Beudel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Färber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volker Bretzel having to interfere. Volker Bretzel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michael Beudel's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Volker Bretzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julius Waddey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wederath FSV's Kevin Schlager proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Wederath FSV from getting a goal against them. If Ari Topka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernot Witty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Kevin Schlager tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Wederath FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erwin Kortüm to maneuver through the defense. Gernot Witty was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gernot Witty got free with Kevin Schlager in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Meyer Zu Bargholz players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Wederath FSV from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
