Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Holger Neukirch made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 2nd minute Eugen Mayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Barnick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on SV Giftnickel's corner Ansgar Elsässer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edgar Barnick quite easily take care of the ball. In the 17th minute, Julian Kahsner fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 17 minutes, Holger Neukirch made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. SV Giftnickel's Leopold Seelenbinder tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Leopold Seelenbinder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Morgan Rüddenklau in the 22nd minute. Leopold Seelenbinder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Kahsner, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Holger Neukirch fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored stahl's protests and gave Holger Neukirch a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, stahl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Holger Neukirch to maneuver through the defense. Holger Neukirch scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopold Seelenbinder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 35 played minutes SV Giftnickel got a freekick which was hit by Martin Spitz. After a defensive mix-up in SV Giftnickel's zone, Morgan Rüddenklau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopold Seelenbinder came out of the goal and Morgan Rüddenklau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to stahl getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Morgan Rüddenklau hit a great ball. With a little luck, SV Giftnickel's Leopold Seelenbinder got control of the ball when Holger Neukirch tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ansgar Elsässer was the one to do the kick off. Ansgar Elsässer struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Edgar Barnick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Giftnickel. stahl's Edgar Barnick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save stahl from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, stahl's goalkeeper Edgar Barnick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugen Mayer. When Eugen Mayer came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the SV Giftnickel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugen Mayer couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Ansgar Elsässer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. stahl's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Ansgar Elsässer scored to the left of an out of position Edgar Barnick, making the score, 2-1. Julian Kahsner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopold Seelenbinder having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl Bleicher during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karl Bleicher hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Edgar Barnick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ansgar Elsässer, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 79 minutes stahl's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ansgar Elsässer who took care of the corner kick. Leopold Seelenbinder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morgan Rüddenklau in the 86th minute of play. Julian Kahsner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SV Giftnickel's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
