Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 8 minutes into the game, one of Elkeringhausen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, Wederath FSV's Maiko Vüllings got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leslie Szeder. Egbert Orthaus kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Julius Waddey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leslie Szeder having to make a save. In the 23rd minute, Egbert Orthaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Elkeringhausen's zone, Michael Beudel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leslie Szeder came out of the goal and Michael Beudel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michael Beudel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Schlager showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Wenzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Waddey in the 34th minute of play forced Elkeringhausen's goalkeeper Leslie Szeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Wenzel in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Schlager saved Wederath FSV from getting behind. Leslie Szeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julius Waddey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leslie Szeder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julius Waddey's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Michael Beudel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47thth minute of the game Julius Waddey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elkeringhausen's Leslie Szeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gianluca Hörner made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Beudel in the 52nd minute of play forced Elkeringhausen's goalkeeper Leslie Szeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leslie Szeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julius Waddey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wederath FSV's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gianluca Hörner 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 58th minute, Egon Machleid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maiko Vüllings took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leslie Szeder. Elkeringhausen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wederath FSV's Julius Waddey got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Wederath FSV booed when Elkeringhausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egon Machleid didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Waddey in the 67th minute of play forced Elkeringhausen's goalkeeper Leslie Szeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Färber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leslie Szeder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Egbert Orthaus's late challenge caught a Wederath FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egbert Orthaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jim Conradi hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Julius Waddey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Leslie Szeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Elkeringhausen defense, Jim Conradi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leslie Szeder. The Elkeringhausen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leslie Szeder should have stopped the shot. Michael Beudel's late challenge caught a Elkeringhausen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Beudel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wederath FSV's Michael Beudel got a free kick in the 91st minute. Julius Waddey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gianluca Hörner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Wederath FSV were the better team. Wederath FSV's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
