Sören Brockmüller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Jes Schwaiger made a huge save. A collision led to Sainscheid getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hellmut Dickhut hit a great ball. Gregor Assmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jes Schwaiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sainscheid's Gregor Assmann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jes Schwaiger. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Sören Brockmüller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jes Schwaiger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mads Marissen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sören Brockmüller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jes Schwaiger having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lysander Niederberger in the 41st minute of play forced Sainscheid's goalkeeper Roger Heermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. René Busch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 49th minute René Busch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Heermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 54 minutes of play, Sainscheid's Gregor Assmann made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jes Schwaiger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eberhard Seisler's late challenge caught a Sainscheid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eberhard Seisler helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Strasburg getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Hellmut Dickhut took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jes Schwaiger. FC Strasburg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Mischa Rehm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sören Brockmüller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jes Schwaiger having to interfere. René Busch scored 3-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Heermann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of FC Strasburg booed when Sainscheid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mads Marissen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Heermann was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edgar Vuranoglu. Sainscheid were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Strasburg for a fine match.
