Spectators: 5722 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 2) Gregor Assmann made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mads Marissen in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theo Reißig saved Altensiel from getting behind. Theo Reißig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregor Assmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 10thth minute of the game Sören Brockmüller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altensiel's Theo Reißig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roger Heermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bill Schneller in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Sainscheid getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Edmond Zwerger hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Sainscheid's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Schneller came free, but Roger Heermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Altensiel booed when Sainscheid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mads Marissen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lewin Rädel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Roger Heermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Altensiel got a freekick which was hit by Bill Schneller. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Altensiel's goalkeeper Theo Reißig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Lewin Rädel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gregor Assmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mads Marissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Gregor Assmann struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Theo Reißig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sainscheid. After a defensive mix-up in Altensiel's zone, Edmond Zwerger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Reißig came out of the goal and Edmond Zwerger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Sören Brockmüller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bill Schneller in the 63rd minute of play forced Sainscheid's goalkeeper Roger Heermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lewin Rädel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theo Reißig came out of the goal and Sören Brockmüller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sören Brockmüller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Reißig having to interfere. When Gregor Assmann, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 70 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Theo Reißig was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Sainscheid's Gregor Assmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theo Reißig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sören Brockmüller got free with Theo Reißig in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregor Assmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theo Reißig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gregor Assmann ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Altensiel booed when Sainscheid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mads Marissen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Lewin Rädel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altensiel's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewin Rädel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Heermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Altensiel's goalkeeper Theo Reißig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sören Brockmüller. The audience was convinced that Gregor Assmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theo Reißig was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Sainscheid's Sören Brockmüller got a free kick in the 97th minute. The Altensiel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sainscheid's performance. The match ended with a win for Sainscheid.
