In the 8th minute of the match, Bill Schneller tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jes Schwaiger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 10th minute, Lewin Rädel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute of the match Kai Wittke shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theo Reißig showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Theo Reißig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lysander Niederberger, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Bill Schneller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altensiel's supporters rose to their feet, but Bill Schneller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jes Schwaiger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Strasburg's zone, Lewin Rädel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Schneller might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jes Schwaiger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bill Schneller ran back to his position shaking his head. Lewin Rädel struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jes Schwaiger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altensiel. FC Strasburg's René Busch got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. René Busch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Theo Reißig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bill Schneller struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Jes Schwaiger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altensiel. After a rather tough play, FC Strasburg's Felix Spegele got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Lewin Rädel struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bill Schneller to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when René Busch got free with Theo Reißig in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 71 minutes into the match, Bill Schneller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jes Schwaiger. FC Strasburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bill Schneller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Altensiel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Strasburg the free kick. Lewin Rädel kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Theo Reißig was a little too slow when Lysander Niederberger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 2-2. The supporters of Altensiel booed when FC Strasburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leven Hammerschlag didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Lewin Rädel made a precise shot to the right of Jes Schwaiger. FC Strasburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. FC Strasburg's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
