An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Hädicke in the 5th minute of play forced Barl's goalkeeper Vinzenz Thimm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Höfer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinzenz Thimm having to make a save. Thomas Scharfenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christoph Egger in the 12th minute. In the 13thth minute of the game Ulrich Händel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1. FC Thiemheim's Thomas Scharfenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulrich Händel in the 15th minute of play forced 1. FC Thiemheim's goalkeeper Thomas Scharfenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barl's Vinzenz Thimm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Hädicke in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to 1. FC Thiemheim getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Quirin Wolter hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Barl's Klaus Leffek got a free kick in the 29th minute. Willi Lenz's late challenge caught a Barl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willi Lenz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to 1. FC Thiemheim getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Willi Lenz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulrich Händel in the 38th minute of play forced 1. FC Thiemheim's goalkeeper Thomas Scharfenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Thiemheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ray Dückert to maneuver through the defense. Wolfgang Pothmer kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jost Pofalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vinzenz Thimm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Falk Motzer hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Luis Hädicke from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Vinzenz Thimm's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 1. FC Thiemheim's Thomas Scharfenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoph Egger in the 71st minute of play. Thomas Scharfenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulrich Händel, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in 1. FC Thiemheim fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! When Jost Pofalla came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the 1. FC Thiemheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jost Pofalla couldn't finish the play. Andreas Dohnanyi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Vinzenz Thimm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Hädicke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vinzenz Thimm made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Luis Hädicke sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Ulrich Händel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Scharfenberg was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Thiemheim's Ray Dückert got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, 1. FC Thiemheim's goal looked a bit too open when Christoph Egger came free, but Thomas Scharfenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Dohnanyi got free with Vinzenz Thimm in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
