Gernot Bechtron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Dutzmann having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Katterbach FSV's Luis Dutzmann threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lino Achterdeich, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 17th minute, Klemens Steffen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dittmar Ruck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Biesenkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Lino Achterdeich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Katterbach FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Achterdeich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Dutzmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lino Achterdeich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Dutzmann having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Katterbach FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Bahr came free, but Dittmar Ruck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ballerbach05's Luis Dutzmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Achterdeich in the 30th minute of play. Dittmar Ruck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yavuz Biesenkamp in the 33rd minute of the match. Dittmar Ruck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Bahr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alexander Berghorn came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Katterbach FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Berghorn couldn't finish the play. 0-3 came in the 46th minute when Helge Stapelfeldt all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Dittmar Ruck. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronny Bahr was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ballerbach05's zone, Gernot Bechtron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Dutzmann came out of the goal and Gernot Bechtron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Dutzmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Achterdeich in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernot Bechtron in the 55th minute of play forced Ballerbach05's goalkeeper Luis Dutzmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Gernot Bechtron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Luis Dutzmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luis Dutzmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernot Bechtron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Dutzmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Achterdeich in the 66th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yavuz Biesenkamp got free with Dittmar Ruck in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ballerbach05 booed when Katterbach FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernot Bechtron didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Lino Achterdeich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Dutzmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Rolf Rausch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ballerbach05's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
