Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Leo Thierse made the kick off and thus started the match. Werner Uhde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurizio Angerer charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurizio Angerer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Appercha a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Matthäus Heiduk, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wollingst's Peter Bachert. 0-1. Achim Croonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Küffner having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christof Hähner in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Bachert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Christof Hähner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thorsten Waschke charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thorsten Waschke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Appercha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorsten Waschke to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Rudolf Steiner sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Appercha's John Küffner didn't even have to move. Achim Croonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Wollingst's Peter Bachert got control of the ball when Werner Uhde tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Leo Thierse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wollingst's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Thierse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Küffner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John Küffner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Achim Croonen's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. A collision led to Appercha getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Christof Hähner hit a great ball. Leo Thierse hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Peter Bachert was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Kirsten Battke capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kirsten Battke really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Appercha's John Küffner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achim Croonen in the 85th minute of play. John Küffner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achim Croonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Wollingst's Rudolf Steiner got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Matthäus Heiduk sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Peter Bachert threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Matthäus Heiduk this time. In the 95th minute, Christof Hähner reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Peter Bachert. The goal made the score 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Appercha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
