Spectators: 7433 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lino Achterdeich started the match with the kick off. Don Nebel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernot Bechtron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Achterdeich in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Don Nebel saved Escape from getting behind. Dittmar Ruck made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Bastian Koberstein sent off a good shot on target. After 17 played minutes Escape got a freekick which was hit by Gaspard Ehrgott. Lino Achterdeich succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 28 minutes into the game, Tjard Musser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Katterbach FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escape the free kick. Tjard Musser kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Guido Sell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dittmar Ruck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mehmet Ali Stöckl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Don Nebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Escape's Don Nebel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Achterdeich in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Lino Achterdeich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Nebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gernot Bechtron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Nebel having to interfere. Dittmar Ruck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Sell in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Helmut Liesegang was the one to do the kick off. Gernot Bechtron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Don Nebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Gernot Bechtron reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Don Nebel. The goal made the score 1-2. A collision led to Katterbach FSV getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Klemens Steffen hit a great ball. Dittmar Ruck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Sell in the 63rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Sell in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dittmar Ruck saved Katterbach FSV from getting behind. When Katterbach FSV's Lino Achterdeich in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Escape's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Gernot Bechtron sped through Escape's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Don Nebel. Guntram Kaluza's late challenge caught a Katterbach FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guntram Kaluza helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Escape getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Guntram Kaluza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Sell in the 90th minute of play forced Katterbach FSV's goalkeeper Dittmar Ruck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Achterdeich received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Don Nebel came out and tried to block the shot, but Lino Achterdeich slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 92nd minute. In the 96th minute, Lino Achterdeich made a precise shot to the right of Don Nebel. Escape's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Katterbach FSV eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
