If Jascha Braunert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niko Kaessmann kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Ulrik Hackert lost his temper 13 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 14th minute, Ulrik Hackert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brix Pahlmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tord Schenk came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester of United's Otmar Bamberg. But to his dismay, Otmar Bamberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Otmar Bamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Schenk having to interfere. Tord Schenk came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester of United's Otmar Bamberg. But to his dismay, Otmar Bamberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Otmar Bamberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester of United's supporters rose to their feet, but Otmar Bamberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tord Schenk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Bayenthal's zone, Otmar Bamberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tord Schenk came out of the goal and Otmar Bamberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Otmar Bamberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bayenthal's Tord Schenk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otmar Bamberg in the 53rd minute of play. Jascha Braunert hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Tord Schenk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otmar Bamberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yildiray Waerdt kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Gaspard Noebels hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th match minute, Bayenthal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Bartkowiak to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 68 minutes, Klaudius Raubier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester of United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klaudius Raubier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Bayenthal booed when Manchester of United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikolaus Schwarze didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Otmar Bamberg came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Manchester of United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otmar Bamberg couldn't finish the play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Laurent Borutta put in a rough tackle. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bayenthal! Otmar Bamberg had several of the Bayenthal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Tord Schenk as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 85 minutes, Otmar Bamberg made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Bayenthal's Tord Schenk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Otmar Bamberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tord Schenk was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. If Alan Gentner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Gentner charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Gentner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bayenthal booed when Manchester of United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Gentner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikolaus Schwarze's late challenge caught a Bayenthal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikolaus Schwarze helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, one of Manchester of United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manchester of United. Manchester of United:s Nils Bach showed great skill when he stopped Brix Pahlmann:s penalty. Manchester of United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
