Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Erik Drechsler kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Julius Heyckendorf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raik Berninger. Wullen FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julius Heyckendorf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eric Schikaneder took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raik Berninger. Raik Berninger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Raik Berninger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Heyckendorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Enno Rott's late challenge caught a Wullen FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enno Rott helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, FC Carl Zeiss Jena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enno Rott to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernot Schmidhuber in the 15th minute of play forced FC Carl Zeiss Jena's goalkeeper Karl Friebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Schikaneder charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Schikaneder the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Carl Zeiss Jena getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Eric Schikaneder hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Eric Schikaneder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raik Berninger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. FC Carl Zeiss Jena's Karl Friebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernot Schmidhuber in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28th minute, Eric Schikaneder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilken Schmeissner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Friebe having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Erik Drechsler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raik Berninger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Karl Friebe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gernot Schmidhuber's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. FC Carl Zeiss Jena's Karl Friebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save FC Carl Zeiss Jena from getting a goal against them. FC Carl Zeiss Jena's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Ubbo Remus scored to the left of an out of position Karl Friebe, making the score, 1-4. In the 45th minute Gernot Schmidhuber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Friebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Gernot Schmidhuber took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Karl Friebe to make any attempt to save it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

The wind increased when Gernot Schmidhuber made the kick off in the second half. Wullen FSV's Raik Berninger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Drechsler in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Gernot Schmidhuber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wullen FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernot Schmidhuber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Carl Zeiss Jena's Eric Schikaneder got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Wullen FSV's Raik Berninger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Wullen FSV from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the match, FC Carl Zeiss Jena's goal looked a bit too open when Gernot Schmidhuber came free, but Karl Friebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raik Berninger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Schikaneder, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 73 minutes, Baldo Türke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wullen FSV and the FC Carl Zeiss Jena players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baldo Türke kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Carl Zeiss Jena's Enno Rott slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raik Berninger. That made the score 2-5 after 76 minutes of play. After 82 minutes, Gernot Schmidhuber made it 3-5 with a short kick to the right side. FC Carl Zeiss Jena's Karl Friebe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Erik Drechsler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raik Berninger came out and tried to block the shot, but Erik Drechsler slotted it home off the left post making it 3-6 in the 91st minute. Julius Heyckendorf's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Raik Berninger firmly grabbed it by the left post. 96 minutes into the game, FC Carl Zeiss Jena's Julius Heyckendorf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raik Berninger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-7.
