Lennard Hirsch scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arlo Schriml, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pablo Bähr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Röwekamp having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Bähr in the 17th minute of play forced Haigerer Hodentreter's goalkeeper Stephan Röwekamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Haigerer Hodentreter's zone, Pablo Bähr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stephan Röwekamp came out of the goal and Pablo Bähr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Dean Dirks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlo Schriml saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jan Gryphius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stephan Röwekamp was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Lennard Hirsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Arlo Schriml tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Jan Gryphius made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Haigerer Hodentreter's Stephan Röwekamp tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Stephan Röwekamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Gryphius in the 36th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Jan Gryphius sped through Haigerer Hodentreter's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stephan Röwekamp. If Jan Gryphius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arlo Schriml didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Dean Dirks made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Pablo Bähr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rühl24's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Bähr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephan Röwekamp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Haigerer Hodentreter's goalkeeper Stephan Röwekamp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Bähr. 57 minutes into the match, Rühl24's goal looked a bit too open when Lennard Hirsch came free, but Arlo Schriml reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pablo Bähr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Jonas Doty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stephan Röwekamp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Bähr in the 65th minute. After 65 played minutes Haigerer Hodentreter got a freekick which was hit by Klaudius Lehnecke. A collision led to Rühl24 getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Egon Urban hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Haigerer Hodentreter's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Gryphius came free, but Stephan Röwekamp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Pablo Bähr made a precise shot to the right of Stephan Röwekamp. Haigerer Hodentreter's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. If Jan Gryphius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-4 became the score in the 84th minute when Jan Gryphius elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Haigerer Hodentreter got a freekick which was hit by Leo Nowak. Rühl24 played a much better game than Haigerer Hodentreter and deserved their victory. The Haigerer Hodentreter players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
