An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Dirks in the 11th minute of play forced Wildenheid FC's goalkeeper Helmut Brozulat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lennard Hirsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haigerer Hodentreter's Lennard Hirsch got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wildenheid FC's goalkeeper Helmut Brozulat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dean Dirks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmut Brozulat having to interfere. If Lennard Schwab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louis Gutsche struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Stephan Röwekamp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wildenheid FC. In the 38th minute, Dean Dirks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Friedbert Schwickerath fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wildenheid FC's protests and gave Friedbert Schwickerath a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Friedbert Schwickerath hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Helmut Brozulat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lennard Hirsch in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lennard Hirsch got free with Helmut Brozulat in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Friedbert Schwickerath hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Wildenheid FC's zone, Dean Dirks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmut Brozulat came out of the goal and Dean Dirks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dean Dirks to strike the kick off in the second half. Dean Dirks took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Helmut Brozulat. Helmut Brozulat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 59 minutes into the game, Bartholomäus Nürnberger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haigerer Hodentreter's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wildenheid FC the free kick. After 59 played minutes Haigerer Hodentreter got a freekick which was hit by Bartholomäus Nürnberger. Lennard Schwab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Röwekamp having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Dean Dirks notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Wildenheid FC's Helmut Brozulat. Helmut Brozulat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Helmut Brozulat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Dirks in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wildenheid FC's Jörn Wehn got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Lennard Hirsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haigerer Hodentreter's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennard Hirsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bartholomäus Nürnberger hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Haigerer Hodentreter were the better team. Haigerer Hodentreter's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
