Jürgen Lindner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Hetzenhausen fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Hetzenhausen's Gerd Kleinmann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Battista Schulte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calvin Luplow in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Calvin Luplow sped through Ludwigsfelder FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Battista Schulte. After a defensive mix-up in Ludwigsfelder FC's zone, Gerd Kleinmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Battista Schulte came out of the goal and Gerd Kleinmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calvin Luplow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Battista Schulte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Luplow in the 32nd minute of the match. Battista Schulte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerd Kleinmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Calvin Luplow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerd Kleinmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battista Schulte having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Calvin Luplow put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Battista Schulte. Battista Schulte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calvin Luplow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 49 minutes, Gerd Kleinmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hetzenhausen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerd Kleinmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calvin Luplow made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, Ludwigsfelder FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niko Demmel to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ludwigsfelder FC's Benno Monschke got a free kick in the 58th minute. Battista Schulte was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Calvin Luplow capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Calvin Luplow really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Calvin Luplow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battista Schulte having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ludwigsfelder FC defense, Gerd Kleinmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Battista Schulte. The Ludwigsfelder FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Battista Schulte should have stopped the shot. Battista Schulte made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Gerd Kleinmann sent off a good shot on target. Calvin Luplow might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Battista Schulte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Calvin Luplow ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gerd Kleinmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Battista Schulte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Luplow, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 85 minutes Ludwigsfelder FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oswald Schreer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Hetzenhausen's Oswald Schreer to fire away a dangerous shot which Battista Schulte despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Till Bednar during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Jürgen Lindner came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ludwigsfelder FC fans jumped to their feet. Hetzenhausen's Ingo Prinzing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Friedhoff in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Ludwigsfelder FC booed when Hetzenhausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasimir Labigne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jürgen Lindner might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingo Prinzing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jürgen Lindner ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Hetzenhausen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ludwigsfelder FC throughout the match.
