Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bodelschwingh FSV's Primus Kappel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With splendid footwork Ludger Scherpp arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 6th minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Markus Ansmann sent off a good shot on target. Markus Ansmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Markus Ansmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donny Schui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primus Kappel in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Hocheck FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Kolber to maneuver through the defense. Gilles Wiese was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludger Scherpp in the 24th minute of the match. Markus Ansmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug made a huge save. If Guido Blumentritt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Markus Ansmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug having to interfere. Ludger Scherpp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hocheck FC's Ludger Scherpp got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Bodelschwingh FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Huhn came free, but Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Bodelschwingh FSV getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Vlado Kunze hit a great ball. In the 46thth minute of the game Ludger Scherpp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bodelschwingh FSV's Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludger Scherpp in the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludger Scherpp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Ansmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Jan Novak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Ansmann in the 63rd minute of play forced Bodelschwingh FSV's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Ansmann in the 65th minute of the match. When Bastian Kaczmarek fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bodelschwingh FSV's protests and gave Bastian Kaczmarek a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Bodelschwingh FSV got a freekick which was hit by Bastian Kaczmarek. Markus Ansmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludger Scherpp in the 71st minute of play. After 76 played minutes, Hocheck FC's Mesut Süss shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hocheck FC reached it. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bodelschwingh FSV's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludger Scherpp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Markus Ansmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Bodelschwingh FSV got a freekick which was hit by Bodo Käpernick. Marvin Hartmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Markus Ansmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Hocheck FC were the better team. Hocheck FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
