He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Patrick Kolber's late challenge caught a Höferhof's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Kolber helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Höferhof booed when Hocheck FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Kolber didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ludger Scherpp came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Hocheck FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludger Scherpp couldn't finish the play. If Markus Ansmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludger Scherpp in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemens Grünberger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Höferhof's Benedikt Bähner got a free kick in the 16th minute. If Bernhard Harris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Höferhof's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Ansmann came free, but Clemens Grünberger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludger Scherpp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ludger Scherpp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hocheck FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludger Scherpp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemens Grünberger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Patrick Kolber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd match minute, Höferhof was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedikt Bähner to maneuver through the defense. Donny Schui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horst Ulbrich in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Hocheck FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Marvin Hartmann hit a great ball. The long shot by Dietrich Banz in the 44th minute really tested Donny Schui's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ludger Scherpp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemens Grünberger having to interfere. After 47 played minutes, Hocheck FC's Jacek Seiler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clemens Grünberger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hocheck FC reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horst Ulbrich was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Emil Rohde had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donny Schui. Hocheck FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Rohde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horst Ulbrich in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donny Schui saved Hocheck FC from getting behind. If Bernhard Harris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Hocheck FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Anton Huhn hit a great ball. Bernhard Harris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Donny Schui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donny Schui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horst Ulbrich in the 64th minute of play. Bernhard Harris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Schui having to interfere. Ludger Scherpp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemens Grünberger having to make a save. Clemens Grünberger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Markus Ansmann in the 83rd minute. Fatih Windscheif hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Fatih Windscheif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Höferhof's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
