Ramon Schulte came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bodelschwingh FSV's Primus Kappel. But to his dismay, Primus Kappel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ramon Schulte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Kaczmarek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Vlado Kunze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramon Schulte. Finne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vlado Kunze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bodelschwingh FSV! The goalkeeper, Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug, was totally fooled by Finne's Jochem Sahr, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Finne's Jo Stockhaus got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Finne booed when Bodelschwingh FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes-Markus Hareter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wolf Zellier in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wolf Zellier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Vlado Kunze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wolf Zellier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bodelschwingh FSV's Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Bodelschwingh FSV from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Wolf Zellier kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug. That made the score 4-2 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jochem Sahr in the 52nd minute of play forced Bodelschwingh FSV's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wolf Zellier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bodelschwingh FSV's zone, Jochem Sahr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug came out of the goal and Jochem Sahr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Jo Stockhaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Finne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jo Stockhaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Wolf Zellier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jo Stockhaus struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finne. In the 64th match minute, Finne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Stecker to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Bodelschwingh FSV's Primus Kappel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-3. If Wolf Zellier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jo Stockhaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug having to interfere. Wolf Zellier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute Wolf Zellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Finne's Wolf Zellier shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-3 in the ordered_time% minute. The audience was convinced that Wolf Zellier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frederico Mühlenhaupt during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Finne getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Frederico Mühlenhaupt hit a great ball. Ramon Schulte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guido Blumentritt went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-4 was the resulting score.
