After 4 played minutes Impekoven got a freekick which was hit by Henning Pförtner. Primus Kappel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bodelschwingh FSV booed when Impekoven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faruk Matthes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes, Bodelschwingh FSV's Gerald Achterbusch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arend Jaura came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bodelschwingh FSV reached it. Primus Kappel struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Arend Jaura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bodelschwingh FSV. Gero Otte hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Arend Jaura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primus Kappel in the 24th minute of the match. Jari Egerer charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jari Egerer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Impekoven's Jari Egerer got a free kick in the 24th minute. Gideon Marchl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Noldt in the 34th minute of play. Oliver Noldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vlado Kunze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Primus Kappel made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Bodelschwingh FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerald Achterbusch to maneuver through the defense. After 56 minutes of play, Impekoven's Gideon Marchl made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Primus Kappel came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Bodelschwingh FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primus Kappel couldn't finish the play. Gideon Marchl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Impekoven's zone, Guido Blumentritt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arend Jaura came out of the goal and Guido Blumentritt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd match minute, Bodelschwingh FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlado Kunze to maneuver through the defense. If Jari Egerer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes of play, Impekoven's Gideon Marchl made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gideon Marchl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bodelschwingh FSV's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gideon Marchl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Gideon Marchl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Gideon Marchl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gideon Marchl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Impekoven's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
