A collision led to Grünschwaige getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Uwe-Jens Bass hit a great ball. 6 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Hocheck FC's Ludger Scherpp fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Markus Ansmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 15th minute, Markus Ansmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andreas Kappestein was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Markus Ansmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andreas Kappestein having to make a save. The supporters of Hocheck FC booed when Grünschwaige was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uwe-Jens Bass didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andreas Kappestein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Ansmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ludger Scherpp might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andreas Kappestein. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andreas Kappestein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Ludger Scherpp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Kappestein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 51stth minute of the game Reiner Jäger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hocheck FC's Donny Schui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Grünschwaige fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Grünschwaige's Reiner Jäger looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Hocheck FC's zone, Joachim Kramer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donny Schui came out of the goal and Joachim Kramer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ludger Scherpp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Markus Ansmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ludger Scherpp was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Hocheck FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grünschwaige! In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Hocheck FC. Mesut Süss stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andreas Kappestein. 1-3. Reiner Jäger struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Donny Schui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grünschwaige. In the 96th minute, Efraim Spieß hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andreas Kappestein made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Markus Ansmann sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hocheck FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
