AEK Wuppertal's Henri Schmid got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nathan Hoefer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Schmid in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Forza FC's Ullrich Walloch got a free kick in the 5th minute. Dominik Kluck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Grotewohl in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Wilhelm Mört shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Kluck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nathan Hoefer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henri Schmid, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Volker Nehm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nathan Hoefer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Volker Nehm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Nathan Hoefer made a huge save. Dominik Kluck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Grotewohl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilhelm Mört sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Volker Nehm's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Nathan Hoefer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilhelm Mört to make the kick off.
