Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marc Lettrari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Wischniewski having to interfere. Fred Groneberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Scheringer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marc Lettrari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aimo Haug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fred Groneberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimo Haug in the 26th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Paavo Steinberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Löveling and the VfB Oldenburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Löveling getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Paavo Steinberg hit a great ball. Aimo Haug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Groneberg having to interfere. If Reimund Heim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reimund Heim spun around in front of the goal 44 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of VfB Oldenburg's goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reimund Heim made a kick off. Erhard Westphal kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54thth minute of the game Marc Lettrari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VfB Oldenburg's Niklas Wischniewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Marc Lettrari came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Löveling fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Lettrari couldn't finish the play. Niklas Wischniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reimund Heim in the 60th minute of the match. Jürn Wuttke kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Reimund Heim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Niklas Wischniewski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 65 played minutes Löveling got a freekick which was hit by Deniz Amstutz. 67 minutes into the game, Helgi Wittbusch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VfB Oldenburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Löveling the free kick. In the 67th minute, Helgi Wittbusch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reimund Heim struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Niklas Wischniewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Löveling. Boris Scheringer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
