In the 4th minute, FC Augsburg's Jonathan Struck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jean Süßmair made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Domenico Schaub sent off a good shot on target. Jean Süßmair made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domenico Schaub in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domenico Schaub got free with Jean Süßmair in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the game, Domenico Schaub cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jean Süßmair was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Niederwürzbach's Harold Dietz got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Theobald Watzek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davon Achteresch in the 22nd minute of play. If Nils Felich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niederwürzbach's Jean Süßmair played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randy Böhmer in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Niederwürzbach booed when FC Augsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reto Krämer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Niederwürzbach's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Struck came free, but Jean Süßmair reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Augsburg's zone, Harold Dietz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theobald Watzek came out of the goal and Harold Dietz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domenico Schaub got free with Jean Süßmair in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Niederwürzbach's Olaf Pommerenke got a free kick in the 39th minute. FC Augsburg's Reto Krämer got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heiko Lorenz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Reto Krämer fired a really elegant long shot, but Jean Süßmair threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Theobald Watzek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harold Dietz went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Struck to strike the kick off in the second half. Reto Krämer shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jonathan Struck took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean Süßmair. Jean Süßmair dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After some careless play in the FC Augsburg defense, Harold Dietz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theobald Watzek. The FC Augsburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theobald Watzek should have stopped the shot. Nils Felich in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Theobald Watzek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 62 played minutes Niederwürzbach got a freekick which was hit by Heiko Lorenz. In the 63rd minute of the match Reto Krämer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jean Süßmair showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Heiko Lorenz came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Niederwürzbach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heiko Lorenz couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Niederwürzbach's Harold Dietz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Theobald Watzek. That made the score 3-3 after 71 minutes of play. A collision led to FC Augsburg getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Rene Goldsche hit a great ball. Randy Böhmer hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Augsburg's Reto Krämer got a free kick in the 79th minute. Jean Süßmair showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenico Schaub, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 87th match minute, Niederwürzbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heidrich Winkelmeier to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute Jonathan Struck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Süßmair saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Süßmair made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenico Schaub in the 93rd minute of play. When Jonathan Struck came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the FC Augsburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Struck couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute Jonathan Struck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Süßmair saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
