Harold Dietz was slow to take the kick. During this time Niederwürzbach's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Niederwürzbach's Harold Dietz to fire away a dangerous shot which Ibrahim Wieck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 11th minute Niederwürzbach were awarded a corner. Harold Dietz went to the cornerflag to take it. 13 minutes into the match, Lysander Moll dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jean Süßmair, 2-0. A collision led to FC Bad Cannstatt getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Wim Lautwein hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Harold Dietz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Bad Cannstatt's Ibrahim Wieck didn't even have to move. In the 19th match minute, Niederwürzbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lemmy Weber to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Harold Dietz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Niederwürzbach getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Christopher Czerwinski hit a great ball. If Lysander Moll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Heidrich Winkelmeier fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Niederwürzbach's protests and gave Heidrich Winkelmeier a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bad Cannstatt's zone, Harold Dietz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ibrahim Wieck came out of the goal and Harold Dietz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ibrahim Wieck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Felich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heinz Ansmann in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jean Süßmair, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 48 played minutes, FC Bad Cannstatt's Robert Kostedde shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jean Süßmair came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Bad Cannstatt reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harold Dietz made a kick off. Nils Felich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Bad Cannstatt's goalkeeper Ibrahim Wieck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Heiko Lorenz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ibrahim Wieck made a huge save. 63 minutes into the game, Ralf Noll cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jean Süßmair was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lysander Moll in the 68th minute of play forced Niederwürzbach's goalkeeper Jean Süßmair to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Lysander Moll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Süßmair saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Nils Felich dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ibrahim Wieck, 3-2. 77 minutes into the match, Niederwürzbach's goal looked a bit too open when Lysander Moll came free, but Jean Süßmair reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Davon Achteresch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niederwürzbach's supporters rose to their feet, but Davon Achteresch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ibrahim Wieck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute, Bosse Dauenhauer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lemmy Weber fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Niederwürzbach's protests and gave Lemmy Weber a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Bad Cannstatt booed when Niederwürzbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lemmy Weber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Aimé Walter shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jean Süßmair showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Bad Cannstatt's Ralf Noll got a free kick in the 84th minute. Niederwürzbach's Nils Felich managed to work through FC Bad Cannstatt's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nils Felich dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 86th minute, Heiko Lorenz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ibrahim Wieck, passed just outside the right post. Heinz Ansmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Dietz in the 95th minute of play forced FC Bad Cannstatt's goalkeeper Ibrahim Wieck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davon Achteresch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Wieck having to interfere.
