The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Lysander Moll put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manfred Sauter. Manfred Sauter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heinz Ansmann in the 13th minute of the match. Tim Glaser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Bad Cannstatt's Bosse Dauenhauer pulled a muscle in his back after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemens Kahl during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clemens Kahl kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes FC Nebbia 05 got a freekick which was hit by Clemens Kahl. Dennis Rousek took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manfred Sauter. FC Nebbia 05's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 30th minute Heinz Ansmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute Klaus Dieter Glatzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ibrahim Wieck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heinz Ansmann in the 38th minute of play forced FC Nebbia 05's goalkeeper Manfred Sauter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemens Kahl got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Clemens Kahl kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Manfred Sauter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heinz Ansmann in the 42nd minute of the match. Heinz Ansmann struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Manfred Sauter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bad Cannstatt. Manfred Sauter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heinz Ansmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the FC Bad Cannstatt defense, Ivan Fesseler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ibrahim Wieck. The FC Bad Cannstatt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ibrahim Wieck should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Fesseler in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Bad Cannstatt's goalkeeper Ibrahim Wieck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Bad Cannstatt getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ralf Noll hit a great ball. Tim Glaser took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ibrahim Wieck. Ibrahim Wieck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 73 played minutes FC Nebbia 05 got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Dieter Glatzer. FC Nebbia 05's Ivan Fesseler got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Nebbia 05's Klaus Dieter Glatzer got a free kick in the 79th minute. Dennis Rousek, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Heinz Ansmann did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Manfred Sauter 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Klaus Dieter Glatzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heinz Ansmann got free with Manfred Sauter in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Fesseler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Wieck having to interfere. Ralf Noll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
