Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jonathan Struck took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Thaddäus Schwerdt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theobald Watzek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egon Mügge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Struck in the 7th minute of play. Theobald Watzek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thaddäus Schwerdt in the 11th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dominik Döll during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Vachendorf got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Döll. Egon Mügge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Struck, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. FC Augsburg were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Vachendorf's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reto Krämer took the corner. The corner ended in Reto Krämer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vachendorf's Egon Mügge did a great save. Thaddäus Schwerdt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theobald Watzek having to interfere. Randy Böhmer charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Randy Böhmer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vachendorf booed when FC Augsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randy Böhmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Thaddäus Schwerdt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vachendorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Jonathan Struck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Vachendorf's zone, Domenico Schaub stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egon Mügge came out of the goal and Domenico Schaub tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Horst Sitte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thaddäus Schwerdt charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thaddäus Schwerdt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thaddäus Schwerdt made a kick off. Jonathan Struck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egon Mügge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Erik Arslan struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Theobald Watzek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vachendorf. Vachendorf's Thaddäus Schwerdt got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Struck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egon Mügge was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 65th minute, Shingo Räder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Arslan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Theobald Watzek made a huge save. 71 minutes into the game, Thaddäus Schwerdt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Theobald Watzek. Thaddäus Schwerdt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 75th minute, Jonathan Struck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Augsburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Theobald Watzek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Arslan in the 79th minute. Randy Böhmer got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Randy Böhmer kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Otto-Stephan Esch during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Shingo Räder hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vachendorf's Dominik Döll got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes FC Augsburg got a freekick which was hit by Otto-Stephan Esch. 91 minutes into the game, Erik Arslan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Theobald Watzek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The FC Augsburg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vachendorf's performance. The match ended with a win for Vachendorf.
