Helmold Spanknebel hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, FC Nebbia 05's goalkeeper Manfred Sauter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthias Gotthard. Matthias Gotthard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Manfred Sauter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfred Sauter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erich Oberleitner in the 9th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Manfred Sauter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 18 minutes, Clemens Kahl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Nebbia 05 and the Stoetze FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Nebbia 05 getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Clemens Kahl hit a great ball. Erik Hopp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus Dieter Glatzer in the 24th minute of play. Manfred Sauter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matthias Gotthard in the 25th minute. The supporters of Stoetze FC booed when FC Nebbia 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Kanters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemens Kahl hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The long shot by Jürgen Rösner in the 29th minute really tested Manfred Sauter's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Stoetze FC's Erik Hopp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Dieter Glatzer in the 34th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, FC Nebbia 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Fesseler to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Stoetze FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clemens Kahl came free, but Erik Hopp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Erich Oberleitner made the kick off in the second half. The FC Nebbia 05 fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when FC Nebbia 05's Clemens Kahl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Matthias Gotthard scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manfred Sauter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Glaser during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erich Oberleitner in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfred Sauter saved FC Nebbia 05 from getting behind. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaus Dieter Glatzer couldn't finish the play. If Ivan Fesseler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Nebbia 05 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stoetze FC.
