Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Elmshorn's Immo Thiel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ingmar Hermann scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jean Süßmair, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thilo Gunter Mock during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes FC Elmshorn got a freekick which was hit by Thilo Gunter Mock. Harold Dietz in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thomas Schöneberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arben Epp kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Harold Dietz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Thomas Schöneberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean Süßmair made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Immo Thiel in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of FC Elmshorn booed when Niederwürzbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Lorenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Heiko Lorenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean Süßmair showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingmar Hermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Jean Süßmair made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludger Kapke in the 32nd minute of play. Heiko Lorenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Schöneberg having to interfere. Harold Dietz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Niederwürzbach's Jean Süßmair played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Immo Thiel in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Immo Thiel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Elmshorn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Hermann in the 45th minute of play forced Niederwürzbach's goalkeeper Jean Süßmair to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half FC Elmshorn were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harold Dietz made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Ingmar Hermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Elmshorn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingmar Hermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stephan Eichel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jean Süßmair made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Felich in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Schöneberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st match minute, Niederwürzbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heidrich Winkelmeier to maneuver through the defense. Harold Dietz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70thth minute of the game Heiko Lorenz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Elmshorn's Thomas Schöneberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute, Thilo Gunter Mock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ingmar Hermann's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jean Süßmair firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jean Süßmair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Immo Thiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Niederwürzbach's Norman Scheringer got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ingmar Hermann's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jean Süßmair firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 85th minute, Harold Dietz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nils Felich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Harold Dietz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Schöneberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norman Scheringer in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Niederwürzbach's goalkeeper Jean Süßmair had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingmar Hermann. After 93 played minutes Niederwürzbach got a freekick which was hit by Norman Scheringer. The FC Elmshorn players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
