Edgar Brechtheimer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heinz Ansmann in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, FC Bad Cannstatt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Noll to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Eberstadt Pfungstadt's Ibrahim Wieck threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andreas Rodemann, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 37th minute of the match, Joshua Meffert got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ibrahim Wieck was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aimé Walter charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aimé Walter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Eberstadt Pfungstadt fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Bad Cannstatt were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
