Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hanno Giurgin kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Hartmut Imhof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marvin Kneuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th match minute, Sonnhart FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Stecker to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Eckert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Vincent Springfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 9 minutes, Hanno Giurgin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giebelscheid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hanno Giurgin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Bastian Peeger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marvin Kneuer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 15 minutes, Palle Voß managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giebelscheid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palle Voß was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute Gabriel Eckert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marvin Kneuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes of play, Giebelscheid FC's Hartmut Imhof made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marvin Kneuer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marvin Kneuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hanno Giurgin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marvin Kneuer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hartmut Imhof in the 27th minute of play. Viktor Tucholski kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Sonnhart FSV's Vincent Klein got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hanno Giurgin in the 32nd minute of play forced Sonnhart FSV's goalkeeper Marvin Kneuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Hanno Giurgin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marvin Kneuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-3 became the score in the 35th minute when Hartmut Imhof elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sonnhart FSV's Marvin Kneuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Eckert in the 46th minute of play. Hermann List kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

With a little luck, Sonnhart FSV's Marvin Kneuer got control of the ball when Gabriel Eckert tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Sonnhart FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermann List to maneuver through the defense. If Jochen Wohlfart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sonnhart FSV's Marvin Kneuer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Sonnhart FSV from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, Gabriel Eckert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marvin Kneuer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 74th minute, Giebelscheid FC's Gabriel Eckert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marvin Kneuer. Marvin Kneuer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. 81 minutes into the match, Sonnhart FSV's goalkeeper Marvin Kneuer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Eckert. Sonnhart FSV's Marvin Kneuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hanno Giurgin in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Bastian Peeger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Giebelscheid FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Marvin Kneuer made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Tibor Bednorz sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Gabriel Eckert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Giebelscheid FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Giebelscheid FC played a much better game than Sonnhart FSV and deserved their victory. The Sonnhart FSV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
