Spectators: 7419 (Terracing: 5602, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 100) Eberhard Eisele blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Gantenbrink having to make a save. 11 minutes into the game, Brad Wegmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tony Gantenbrink was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfonso Burdach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Morgan Stiegler acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Volker Erhart. Tony Gantenbrink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Wegmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute, Patrick-Marc Demitter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eberhard Eisele in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Gantenbrink prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brad Wegmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Tony Gantenbrink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brad Wegmann in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Gantenbrink saved SV Stahl Thale from getting behind. If Eberhard Eisele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Josef Strauss fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OsTeuSCornoS's protests and gave Josef Strauss a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Josef Strauss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by OsTeuSCornoS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Volker Erhart was slow to take the kick. During this time SV Stahl Thale's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on SV Stahl Thale's corner Volker Erhart fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Morgan Stiegler quite easily take care of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brad Wegmann to strike the kick off in the second half. Brad Wegmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tony Gantenbrink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Gantenbrink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brad Wegmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind SV Stahl Thale's goalkeeper Tony Gantenbrink, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eberhard Eisele got free with Tony Gantenbrink in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eberhard Eisele who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Tony Gantenbrink when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tony Gantenbrink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mel Olbrich, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Eberhard Eisele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tony Gantenbrink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Wegmann in the 92nd minute of play. Brad Wegmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tony Gantenbrink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brad Wegmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Tony Gantenbrink made a huge save. OsTeuSCornoS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
