Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abdul Boehme kicked off to start the match. Jo Fuhl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sören Scheelen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Lothar Picht got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Engelrod FC's Sören Scheelen got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lothar Picht in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jo Fuhl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 12th minute Pablo Lütkebohmert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Immanuel Breitwieser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Engelrod FC's Immanuel Breitwieser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdul Boehme in the 13th minute of play. Jo Fuhl acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Benny Weiß. Jerome Heerckes hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 26th of the match, Sören Scheelen tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jo Fuhl got in the way and made a wonderful save. Abdul Boehme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Immanuel Breitwieser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Ivan Krügers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Engelrod FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gelsenkirchen United the free kick. After 39 minutes, Wolfgang Goebel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Engelrod FC and the Gelsenkirchen United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wolfgang Goebel kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. If Abdul Boehme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jo Fuhl made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Lothar Picht sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Lothar Picht managed to get in a good position for a shot. Engelrod FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lothar Picht was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jo Fuhl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Sören Scheelen made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Leon Dorneth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engelrod FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Gelsenkirchen United booed when Engelrod FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny Weiß didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abdul Boehme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Engelrod FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdul Boehme came free, but Immanuel Breitwieser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Gelsenkirchen United defense, Leon Dorneth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jo Fuhl. The Gelsenkirchen United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jo Fuhl should have stopped the shot. When Pablo Lütkebohmert came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Gelsenkirchen United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Lütkebohmert couldn't finish the play. Lothar Picht recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jo Fuhl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lothar Picht, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st match minute, Engelrod FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny Weiß to maneuver through the defense. Raban Duttenhöfer was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Gelsenkirchen United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Engelrod FC:s goal. Gelsenkirchen United:s Jo Fuhl showed great skill when he stopped Ivan Krügers:s penalty. In the 77thth minute of the game Lothar Picht who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gelsenkirchen United's Jo Fuhl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sören Scheelen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 86th minute, Leon Dorneth made a precise shot to the right of Jo Fuhl. Gelsenkirchen United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 95th minute, Sören Scheelen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engelrod FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Sören Scheelen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jo Fuhl having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Engelrod FC had won after a very even match.
