The mood of the audience was pleasant when Christoph Laukenmann made the kick off which started today's match. Christoph Laukenmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Godwin Dyckmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucien Ackermann having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Godwin Dyckmans made a precise shot to the right of Lucien Ackermann. Rottne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Real Madrid's Takeshi Korell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Real Madrid from getting a goal against them. Christoph Laukenmann let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 16th minute shot 1-1 at rihgt post. 21 minutes into the match, Rottne's goal looked a bit too open when Abi Stromann came free, but Lucien Ackermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Rottne got a freekick which was hit by Egmont Blache. Lucien Ackermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abi Stromann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Abi Stromann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucien Ackermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abi Stromann took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucien Ackermann. Lucien Ackermann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The supporters of Rottne booed when Real Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswald Kerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucien Ackermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godwin Dyckmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guy Rust's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Takeshi Korell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Christoph Laukenmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Rottne players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Madrid were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Godwin Dyckmans was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Madrid's Oswald Kerber slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucien Ackermann. That made the score 1-3 after 53 minutes of play. Abi Stromann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Lucien Ackermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Godwin Dyckmans sped through Rottne's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lucien Ackermann. Marten Placke hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Lucien Ackermann made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Abi Stromann sent off a good shot on target. When Rottne's Christoph Laukenmann in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Madrid's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Rust in the 74th minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Takeshi Korell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Marten Placke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute of the match Uwe Witsch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Takeshi Korell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Eberhard Dümpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Abi Stromann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but Abi Stromann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucien Ackermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uwe Witsch kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Abi Stromann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Lucien Ackermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucien Ackermann made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Oswald Kerber sent off a good shot on target. The Rottne supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Real Madrid's performance. The match ended with a win for Real Madrid.
