Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) SV Hohentengen's Samuel Hopp started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Samuel Hopp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Veitshöchheim's Victor Duttenhöfer got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Arne Kowalewski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edzard Schöne quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A hard and well directed shot from Arne Kowalewski led 14 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. SV Hohentengen's Edzard Schöne became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. With a little luck, FC Veitshöchheim's Mirco Kitzmann got control of the ball when Nicolai Schwensen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Duttenhöfer in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edzard Schöne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SV Hohentengen's Edzard Schöne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Duttenhöfer in the 21st minute of play. Victor Duttenhöfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Graham Wiedmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edzard Schöne having to make a save. Rolf Althaus's late challenge caught a SV Hohentengen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolf Althaus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Rolf Althaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, SV Hohentengen's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Duttenhöfer came free, but Edzard Schöne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edzard Schöne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Duttenhöfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Edzard Schöne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graham Wiedmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Graham Wiedmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th match minute, SV Hohentengen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasmus Geerken to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Besl kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Arne Kowalewski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edzard Schöne. SV Hohentengen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 44th minute, Rolf Althaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Veitshöchheim's zone, Samuel Hopp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mirco Kitzmann came out of the goal and Samuel Hopp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half FC Veitshöchheim were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

FC Veitshöchheim's Mirco Kitzmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Hopp in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, FC Veitshöchheim's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolai Schwensen came free, but Mirco Kitzmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 minutes, Victor Duttenhöfer made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. SV Hohentengen's Edzard Schöne tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolf Althaus kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Samuel Hopp struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Mirco Kitzmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Hohentengen. Graham Wiedmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edzard Schöne having to interfere. If Samuel Hopp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 minutes, Renato Fieber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Hohentengen and the FC Veitshöchheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Veitshöchheim booed when SV Hohentengen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Fieber didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Veitshöchheim's Arne Kowalewski couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SV Hohentengen. 82 minutes into the match, FC Veitshöchheim's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolai Schwensen came free, but Mirco Kitzmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nicolai Schwensen came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the SV Hohentengen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolai Schwensen couldn't finish the play. Arne Kowalewski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the match, Graham Wiedmann got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edzard Schöne was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Veitshöchheim walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
