Spectators: 6960 (Terracing: 5610, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christoph Laukenmann kicked off to start the match. Lucien Ackermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Immanuel Haubold in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rottne's Uwe Witsch got a free kick in the 4th minute. Rottne's Lucien Ackermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fatih Erler in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Christoph Laukenmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rottne's supporters rose to their feet, but Christoph Laukenmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulf Wölfle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Arnulf Wölfle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christoph Laukenmann. In the 14th minute, Michael Kull made a precise shot to the right of Arnulf Wölfle. Alemannia Aachen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Lucien Ackermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislaw Pommerenke, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Helmuth Rektor charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Helmuth Rektor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Helmuth Rektor. Fatih Erler scored 1-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucien Ackermann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Gerd-Peter Kafka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucien Ackermann. Rottne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerd-Peter Kafka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Gerd-Peter Kafka hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Arnulf Wölfle was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Uwe Witsch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Uwe Witsch really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. In the 46th minute, Christoph Laukenmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerd-Peter Kafka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christoph Laukenmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rottne's Lucien Ackermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislaw Pommerenke in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Eberhard Dümpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Rottne's zone, Immanuel Haubold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucien Ackermann came out of the goal and Immanuel Haubold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanislaw Pommerenke got free with Lucien Ackermann in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uwe Witsch kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 63 played minutes Rottne got a freekick which was hit by Egmont Blache. Immanuel Haubold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Stanislaw Pommerenke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Lucien Ackermann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 82 played minutes Rottne got a freekick which was hit by Marian Halm. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanislaw Pommerenke got free with Lucien Ackermann in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucien Ackermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fatih Erler, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
