In the 11thth minute of the game Friedrich Rückert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strooterhörn FSV's Henning Elmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Volker Falk hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Strooterhörn FSV's zone, Winfried Beyer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Elmer came out of the goal and Winfried Beyer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Friedrich Rückert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, one of Strooterhörn FSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Strooterhörn FSV. The goalkeeper, Henning Elmer, was totally fooled by Gloriious Bastards's Gernot Dick, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 24 minutes in the game, Winfried Beyer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Henning Elmer having to interfere. Henning Elmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Winfried Beyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Strooterhörn FSV's Henning Elmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Winfried Beyer in the 32nd minute of play. Henning Elmer acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Reinhold Genthe. Henning Elmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winfried Beyer in the 36th minute of play. Henning Elmer came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Gloriious Bastards's Friedrich Rückert. But to his dismay, Friedrich Rückert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 43 played minutes Strooterhörn FSV got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Sackenheim. In the 44th minute, Winfried Beyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Winfried Beyer made the kick off in the second half. Reinhold Genthe kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jan Petzold hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. When Friedrich Rückert came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Gloriious Bastards fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Friedrich Rückert couldn't finish the play. Henning Elmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernot Dick in the 71st minute of the match. Henning Elmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Winfried Beyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Strooterhörn FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Winfried Beyer came free, but Henning Elmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Winfried Beyer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henning Elmer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Jan Petzold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute Friedrich Rückert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Elmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henning Elmer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
