Benedikt Buch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Kues, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Wolfgang Hecht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedikt Buch having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Viktor Kues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedikt Buch was relentless in the 49th minute of the game.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Krämer made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Obendeich's Viktor Kues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedikt Buch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benedikt Buch came out of the goal and Wolfgang Hecht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viktor Kues in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedikt Buch saved Munster FC from getting behind. 67 minutes into the game, Viktor Kues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benedikt Buch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolf Schneider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Obendeich's supporters rose to their feet, but Wolfgang Hecht was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedikt Buch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan Krämer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Pinz having to interfere.
