Rolf Schneider who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Henning Elmer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Rolf Schneider managed to get in a good position for a shot. Munster FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolf Schneider was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henning Elmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Krämer during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fred Töpperwien kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Strooterhörn FSV's Fred Töpperwien got a free kick in the 27th minute. The long shot by Rüdiger Pitz in the 32nd minute really tested Henning Elmer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 34th minute of the match, Rolf Schneider got a very nice opportunity to score, but Henning Elmer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Henning Elmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Krämer, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 39 played minutes Strooterhörn FSV got a freekick which was hit by Fred Töpperwien. After 40 played minutes Munster FC got a freekick which was hit by Béla Dohnanyi. Oliver Rupp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Benedikt Buch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Strooterhörn FSV booed when Munster FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rüdiger Pitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Tannenberg made a kick off. Henning Elmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Krämer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henning Elmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Krämer in the 56th minute of the match. Rolf Schneider recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Strooterhörn FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Krämer came free, but Henning Elmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Rolf Schneider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Elmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 66th minute when Rolf Schneider elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Juan Krämer came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Munster FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Krämer couldn't finish the play. Henning Elmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Krämer, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Fred Töpperwien was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Volker Falk had a good opportunity to score a goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went on the wrong side of the left post. The supporters of Strooterhörn FSV booed when Munster FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Holzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oliver Rupp's late challenge caught a Munster FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Rupp helped the player get up and apologised. Juan Krämer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Henning Elmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Strooterhörn FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Schneider came free, but Henning Elmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Munster FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Strooterhörn FSV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
