The Klaus Pinz was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Wolfgang Hecht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wolfgang Hecht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jiggel's goalkeeper Morten Schmithuysen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfgang Hecht in the 46th minute of play forced Jiggel's goalkeeper Morten Schmithuysen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Eumann was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Obendeich's David Stapf got a free kick in the 56th minute. Fabien Franke scored 1-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Klaus Pinz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Obendeich's zone, Thomas Eumann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Pinz came out of the goal and Thomas Eumann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Wolfgang Hecht came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Obendeich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wolfgang Hecht couldn't finish the play. Fabien Franke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Klaus Pinz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Adrian Frommer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Obendeich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jiggel the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Adrian Frommer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Lysander Babusch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Klaus Pinz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Fabien Franke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Obendeich's Klaus Pinz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabien Franke in the 88th minute of play. Leonardo Hauffen's late challenge caught a Jiggel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Hauffen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Thomas Eumann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viktor Kues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Morten Schmithuysen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Jiggel getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Lysander Babusch hit a great ball. Jiggel's Morten Schmithuysen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Kues in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jiggel fans cheered their team off the field, for while Obendeich had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
