Jorge Manes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Strauss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dan Strauss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Schnellrieder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Therre having to interfere. Marc Therre made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Lars Rösler sent off a good shot on target. After 19 played minutes Oberbenningrath FC got a freekick which was hit by Willi Mühlichen. After recieving a nice pass, Remberg FC's Julien Weiss tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Lars Rösler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Remberg FC's Marc Therre got control of the ball when Lars Rösler tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Remberg FC fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Remberg FC's Dan Strauss looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 34 minutes into the game, Remberg FC's Heintje Tartemann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Manes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 37 played minutes Remberg FC got a freekick which was hit by Joschi Achterdeck. Lars Rösler in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marc Therre, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Stefan Schnellrieder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Therre having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Matteo Manthey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Remberg FC and the Oberbenningrath FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matteo Manthey hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dan Strauss made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Remberg FC defense, Lars Rösler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marc Therre. The Remberg FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marc Therre should have stopped the shot. Lukas Keim charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lukas Keim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Oberbenningrath FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lukas Keim hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Schnellrieder in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marc Therre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Remberg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Rösler came free, but Marc Therre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Therre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Schnellrieder in the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Remberg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matteo Manthey to maneuver through the defense. If Heintje Tartemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Stefan Schnellrieder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Therre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remberg FC's Heintje Tartemann got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Schnellrieder in the 95th minute of play forced Remberg FC's goalkeeper Marc Therre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Lars Rösler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Therre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
